Make Golf Your Thing Grassroots Grants program Pushes message of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Phase Two opens for applications Oct. 8

Since its initial launch during “National Golf Day” in May, Make Golf Your Thing continues to build momentum and support across the golf industry around establishing a framework for a more diverse and inclusive community.

Make Golf Your Thing is broadening the brand to establish it as an overarching umbrella for the industry’s diversity, equity and inclusion collaboration said an announcement from the World Golf Foundation today.

Grassroots Grants Program: Phase Two

The Grassroots Grants program supports organizations and groups dedicated to increasing participation among underrepresented populations in the sport, including minorities, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and those with disabilities.

WE ARE GOLF soon will be accepting applications for phase two of the Grassroots Grants program. The application window will open this Friday (Oct. 8) and close on Monday, Nov. 8 (or once 100 applications have been received).

During phase one, 43 organizations received grants totaling $150,000 overall. The Youth & Adult Player Development Work Group is pleased to open phase two of this program. Any organizations that believe they could benefit from the program, the application (beginning Friday) can be found by visiting https://wearegolf.org/grassroots-grants-program/.
