STRATFORD, CT — Opus Organization is proud to announce the 2026 Opus Annual Charity Golf Tournament presented in collaboration with the Ruby & Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum in Stratford CT. The event will take place on July 20, 2026 4pm, at Blackhawk Country Club, 385 Oronoque Lane, Stratford, Connecticut. Immediately following the golf tournament, the awards ceremony will be held on the museum grounds located at 952 East Broadway in Stratford CT.
This premier tournament will bring together high school and collegiate golfers while welcoming participants of all skill levels for a day of competition, networking, and community impact and will conclude at the historic museum.
With a strong focus on empowering young African American golfers, the tournament is designed to create meaningful pathways into the sport while opening doors to educational, professional, and personal growth opportunities. More than a golf competition, the event will serve as a platform for mentorship, exposure, and relationship-building by connecting participants with successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals who understand the value of golf as a vehicle for access and opportunity.
A featured highlight of the day will be a dynamic Women’s Golf Clinic, inspired by the CMWP Foundation. The clinic is designed to provide an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment where women can learn, engage, and grow in the game of golf.
Tournament activities will include a variety of on-course competitions, such as:
- Putting Contest
- Long Drive Competition
- Closest to the Pin
- Closest to the Line
- Additional skill challenges and prizes

“This tournament represents much more than a day on the golf course,” said Ron Everett, Executive Director of Opus Organization. “It is about creating access, building community, and inspiring the next generation to view golf not only as a sport, but as a gateway to opportunity, leadership, and success.”
