The granddaughter of U.S. President Donald Trump and daughter of Tiffany Trump has drawn both excitement and scrutiny ahead of her first professional appearance at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

Granted a sponsor’s exemption, Kai joins a field stacked with top women golfers, including defending champion Nelly Korda. Though ranked 461st among AJGA girls and without major junior wins, her appearance has already generated global attention, blending celebrity intrigue with fresh potential.

Ahead of teeing off, Kai shared the two pieces of advice that are shaping her mindset this week. From her grandfather, she received a simple but steady reminder: “Just don’t get nervous.” And from golf icon Tiger Woods—who’s been linked to her mother—came a more philosophical approach: “Go out there, have fun, and just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.”

For Kai, those words seem to strike the right balance. “I’m just going to go out there and have fun and see which way it goes,” she said during practice rounds earlier this week.

Adding to the buzz, tournament host and legend Annika Sörenstam played nine holes with Kai on Monday. The Hall of Famer came away impressed. “To be 18 years old and hear all the comments … she must be super tough on the inside,” Sörenstam said. “This week is about learning, growing, and seeing what the professional side of the game is really like.”

New 10K Golf App Unlocks Every Player’s Potential

Jamie Taylor, LPGA, founder of 10K Sports Inc., has made significant strides in transforming golf coaching and player development through her innovative, new 10K Golf app which launched in October. East Palo Alto T-Ball Golf Classic Marks A Day of Golf, Giving, and Greatness for Area Youth

The 2025 East Palo Alto T-Ball/Pitching Machine Golf Classic took place on October 18, 2025, at the scenic Las Vegas Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 19th annual charity event once again brought together supporters, alumni, and golf enthusiasts for a day of camaraderie, community, and competition — all in support of the youth baseball program that has shaped countless young lives since its founding in 1992.

Participants enjoyed a spirited round of golf under clear desert skies, followed by a celebratory reception recognizing the program’s ongoing commitment to mentoring and empowering young athletes. The tournament serves as one of the organization’s major fundraising efforts, helping sustain the league’s operations, equipment, and scholarships for deserving youth.

Coach Gene Tate, founder and leader of the East Palo Alto T-Ball/Pitching Machine program, expressed his appreciation for the continued support. “Every year, we come together not just to play golf, but to invest in our kids and our community,” said Tate. “The turnout and enthusiasm remind us how powerful teamwork and dedication can be—both on and off the course.”

At just 40 years old, Steven Michael Outlaw has already carved out a reputation as one of golf’s most dynamic leaders — a professional whose passion for excellence and inclusion continues to shape the industry. Now serving as General Manager of Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club in Arizona, Outlaw’s journey from a small-town student to a global golf executive is both inspiring and instructive.

Born with an early fascination for leadership and sport, Outlaw attended Georgetown College, where he studied Political Science before entering the PGA PGM Post Graduate Diversity Program. “Golf has always been more than a game to me — it’s a platform for growth, connection, and opportunity,” Outlaw shared. After progressing rapidly through the program, he achieved full PGA membership in 2012, marking the start of a career that would take him around the world.

Since joining Troon in 2008, Outlaw has held nearly every leadership position imaginable — from outside services to Head Professional, Director of Golf, and Director of Club Operations. His international experience includes serving as Director of Club Operations at The Els Club Teluk Datai in Langkawi, Malaysia, and Associate Golf Professional at Abu Dhabi Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates. Seven Common Golf Injuries and How to Prevent Them

The explosive movement of a golf swing and the repetitive nature of practice can place significant strain on the body. Over time, this may lead to chronic or even permanent musculoskeletal injuries if not properly managed. Here are seven common golf-related injuries and how to prevent and treat them, according to medical experts.

Golfer’s elbow, or medial epicondylitis, is a frequent issue caused by repetitive gripping and swinging. The pain develops along the inner elbow tendon due to irritation or small tears. Dr. Michael Maloney, an orthopedic specialist at the University of Rochester Medical Center, notes that “tendon injuries like golfer’s elbow heal slowly because of limited blood flow. Early rest and consistent therapy are essential to prevent chronic pain.” Ice, anti-inflammatory medication, and rest are key, and players should avoid returning to the course too soon.

Tennis elbow affects the outer part of the elbow and surprisingly occurs in golfers more often than golfer’s elbow. Poor swing mechanics or overuse can worsen the condition. Treatment typically includes rest, ice, and exercises to strengthen the forearm. Dr. David Geier, a sports medicine physician, explains, “Technique and muscle conditioning go hand-in-hand. Most golf-related elbow injuries trace back to improper form or fatigue.”

Rotator cuff injuries in the shoulder are another common concern, often resulting from overuse or a poorly executed swing. Mild cases respond well to rest and physical therapy, but severe tears may require surgery. According to Dr. Benjamin Shaffer, orthopedic surgeon and former Washington Nationals team doctor, “Maintaining shoulder mobility and stability is critical for golfers. Strength training focused on the rotator cuff can prevent many of these injuries.”

Back pain frequently affects golfers due to the bent-over stance and rotational motion of the swing. Stretching, core strengthening, and occasional rest days can help maintain spinal flexibility and resilience.

Neck injuries, particularly among beginners, result from repetitive twisting and tension during the swing. Warm-ups, frequent breaks, and neck-strengthening exercises are recommended to reduce strain.

Hand and wrist injuries often occur because of the intense speed and impact of the swing. Overuse can lead to tendonitis or fractures. Prevention involves learning proper technique, conditioning the wrists, and taking rest days to recover.

Finally, foot and ankle injuries can develop from instability or improper balance during a swing. Sprains, blisters, and tendon inflammation are common. Golfers should maintain strong lower-body mechanics and wear supportive footwear.

Golf is a game of precision, but it also demands physical endurance and balance. Proper warm-ups, stretching, and technique are crucial to preventing injury and extending a player’s longevity. As Dr. Maloney reminds athletes, “The best golfers are those who respect their bodies as much as their game.”

The event’s evolution underscores its enduring role as the premier launchpad for innovations shaping the $102 billion golf industry, while continuing to expand into high-growth sectors like golf fitness, racquet sports, travel and performance technology.

NEW in 2026:

Returning special events include the PGA Show Demo Day (Jan. 20), a robust PGA Show Education Program featuring 80+ sessions led by industry experts, the live Fashion Show & Reception (Jan. 21) and the PGA Show Winter Jam Concert (Jan. 22), plus Show Floor features including the PGA of America Hub, PGA of America Industry Stage presented by CapTech, the New Product Zone, Inventor’s Spotlight, the Retreat, Club Amenities pavilion and many more.
