Ray Mclaughlin (2nd from right) of Charlotte, North Carolina had his 1st Hole-in-One on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Sapona Golf Club, Lexington, North Carolina, on hole #7 at 137 yards using Mizuno 7 iron and Srixon ball. His playing partners were John Love, DR. Darrell “DJ” Johnson and Andre Banks.

Widely respected for his leadership and excellence as a tournament director, Love has been a longtime member of the Par Busters Golf Group in Charlotte, North Carolina. In recognition of his decades of dedication and service to golf administration, he was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame in 1997.
