Fifth Season Concluded with the Curry Cup, Naming Evan Pena-Colon and Alexis Lamadrid
the UNDERRATED Golf Tour 2026 Champion
Stephen Curry’s UNDERRATED Golf Tour wrapped up its 2026 season with the Curry Cup, presented by KPMG, at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York. The September 15–17 finale brought together 30 junior golfers from across the United States and Europe for competition, training and leadership development.
The finalists earned their places after a summer search across Gainesville, Scottsdale, New Jersey, Los Angeles and England. The tour, founded by Curry in 2022, aims to broaden access to competitive golf and create opportunities for young athletes on and off the course.
Evan Pena-Colon, 17, of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, claimed the boys’ title, while Alexis Lamadrid, 17, of Phoenix, won the girls’ competition. Both have participated in the UNDERRATED Golf Tour since its first season.
The week combined golf with activities designed to support the players’ growth beyond the course. On Monday, golfers, families and staff attended an IMAX screening of Stephen Curry’s upcoming sports documentary, “Portrait of an Artist: Stephen Curry,” at AMC Kips Bay 15 in New York City. Players also received Curry Cup gear featuring apparel from sponsors Rhoback and Imperial.
The event concluded with a KPMG Leadership Development Day at the Empire State Building, hosted by LPGA Tour player and KPMG ambassador Mariah Stackhouse. The program included a panel with Stackhouse and Curry, interactive workshops, and a special lighting ceremony. The sessions focused on skills the junior golfers can use as they pursue leadership roles in golf and other fields.
During the Curry Cup trophy presentation, golf broadcaster Henni Zuël announced six players as 2027 UNDERRATED Golf European Tour ambassadors: boys Evan Pena-Colon, Patrick Pinkney and William Roiland, and girls Alexis Lamadrid, Hazel Hooper and Gabriella Gu.
Scholarships were also awarded to athletes who exemplify the tour’s mission and values. Patrick Pinkney and Myla Robinson each received $25,000 through the Dell Curry Scholarship, presented by Cisco.
KPMG served as title sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, supporting the tour’s work to expand equity, access and opportunity for young people in golf. Other corporate partners included DocuSign, Southern Company, DICK’S Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy, Voss Water, PLEZI, AJGA, API, L.A.B. Golf and VESSEL.
Through competition, mentorship and educational programming, the Curry Cup brought the season to a close while reinforcing the tour’s broader purpose: helping young golfers develop their games and the skills to succeed beyond them.
