Women In Golf Foundation Selected as Charity to Benefit From Legends of the LPGA Event at Eagles Landing

Atlanta, GA, (September 12, 2023) – Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, GA, is set to host the Legends of the LPGA, reviving its historic traditional women’s golf. Formerly the venue for the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez, the Legends of the LPGA tournament will bring back many of the renowned golfers who once played there. 

The action begins with the Pro-Am on October 10, allowing amateurs to play alongside Legends in a scramble format. October 11 marks the main competition as 20 Legends players battle it out over 18 holes.

The net proceeds for this event will go to the Women in Golf Foundation. This is a local foundation designed to create opportunities for women by implementing programs that develop leadership and life skills.

Furthermore, we aim to seize the opportunity for the younger generation to witness these legends and be inspired to play at a higher level. Lastly, it is truly awesome to bring this event to Eagles Landing, my home course.”

Eagles Landing is part of the Century Golf family and they have displayed unconditional support for this event and the Legends of the LPGA.  “We were well aware of Eagles Landing’s rich history in women’s championship golf,” said Jim Hinckley, CEO of Century Golf, “We are thrilled to welcome back the greatest women to ever play the game with the Legends of the LPGA returning to the historic Eagles Landing Country Club”. 

The event lineup includes golfing legends such as Angela Stanford, the Senior LPGA Champion; Leta Lindley, US Senior Women’s Open 2nd Place Finisher; and Laura Diaz, an LPGA Tour multiple winner.
