The Toyota San Francisco Region in partnership with Toyota Walnut Creek along with the San Francisco PDC, Toyota Financial Services, and the San Francisco Region office team made a generous donation of a 2008 Toyota Tundra to The Pinkney Foundation on Friday, September 29, 2023.

The Tundra will be used to tow an incredible mobile golf trailer carrying a simulator donated by Dryvebox in honor of Lyn Nelson to bring golf into the San Francisco Bay area, attend community events, introduce golf, and teach kids valuable life lessons as well as leadership skills using the game of golf, helping to create positive and productive citizens in the community.

“We hope this Tunda helps you achieve that amazing mission,” said Brad Barnett, a Toyota representative making the presentation in front of an enthusiastic crowd of onlookers.

This activation was a culmination of teamwork throughout the Toyota corporation to refurbish the 2008 Toyota Tundra. Everything on the vehicle was restored to factory specifications and upgrades were made to tow the massive trailer. Their donation also includes vehicle services and tire rotations to keep the Tundra in top shape.

Our goal is to introduce 20,000 youth to golf in the next 3 years.”
