Yes, I am honored that my good friend (before he was a councilman, lol), Huntsville City Council President John Meredith, would like to recognize me for my service to the communities in and around the Huntsville metro area. Below is the email I received today from Sarah Powell with the City Council.

I know you may not be able to attend, and as Sarah wrote, anyone who can’t attend will be able to watch live on our website, where the meeting will also be archived.
Mr. Bankhead, the agenda will be published tomorrow afternoon, so I can’t send a copy of that, but Council President Meredith will recognize you for some of your more recent accomplishments at the Council Meeting this Thursday. It begins at 5:30, and the presentation will be around 5:45, after which you and your guests are welcome to leave. I would plan to be at City Hall by 5:15 so you can get parked and into the Chamber.
