Tiger and Charlie Woods Together in Family Event at 2023 PNC Championship

by John Perry

As we wrap up another eventful year in golf, we’re fortunate to conclude with the PNC Championship—a refreshing change where players can focus on the joy of the game rather than fielding questions about their plans for LIV Golf next year. The 2023 PNC Championship officially began Saturday, December 16 with the opening round in Orlando, Fla., where Tiger Woods, his son, Charlie Woods, and 19 other teams of golf stars are ready to start the competition at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club for a 36-hole scramble tournament. The final round is on December 17.

The PNC Championship stands out as a delightful family affair, bringing together major champions and their sons, daughters, or parents for a lighthearted two-round scramble.

All eyes for sure were on Tiger and Charlie Woods, who secured a second-place finish two years ago. Tiger often humorously acknowledges that Charlie carries him, yet he’s expressing newfound confidence in his own game. Just two weeks ago at the Hero World Challenge, Tiger shared his optimism, suggesting that he might make more regular appearances on the Tour in 2024.
