MONTGOMERY, Ala. — May 1, 2026 — The Valiant Cross Academy golf team has officially qualified for the AISA High School Golf State Championship for the second consecutive year, marking another major milestone for the rising program and continuing its momentum as one of the top developing teams in the state.
Led by a determined and talented group of student-athletes, Valiant Cross Academy will compete in the AISA High School Golf State Championship on May 4–5, 2026, at Pines Crossing Golf Course in Auburn, AL.
The team members qualifying for this year’s state championship are:
- Myquez Green
- Khalil King
- Kaidon King
- Jamarion Green
- John Cosby
This marks the second straight season Valiant Cross Academy has earned a team berth in the state championship, a testament to the continued growth, discipline, and commitment of the program. After making school history with last year’s appearance, the team returned this season with greater experience, focus, and determination.
Throughout the 2026 season, Valiant Cross Academy consistently proved itself among the state’s top competitors, finishing in the top three in four separate events and building momentum heading into the championship. Their strong performances have showcased not only the team’s talent, but also the hard work and dedication that has become the foundation of the program.
“This group has continued to grow and mature with every tournament,” said team leadership. “To qualify for state two years in a row is a huge accomplishment for our school and our golf program. These young men have put in the work, stayed committed, and earned this opportunity. We are proud of what they’ve accomplished and excited for the chance to compete for a championship.”
As the team prepares for the biggest tournament of the season, Valiant Cross Academy will look to build on a strong year and compete for a state title against the best teams in the AISA.
With experience, confidence, and momentum on their side, the Valiant Cross Academy golf team now sets its sights on bringing home a championship.
