(MARCH 14, 2017) The Wake-Robin Golf Club, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, will commemorate 80 years of service in promoting golf for women. The organization is the oldest women’s golf club in America.  Founded in 1937 by thirteen innovative and committed Black women who were instrumental in the desegregation of golf courses in Washington, D.C. and the opening of the renowned Langston Golf Course. Members today are proud to have nurtured and grown their vision into a reality — making a difference by leading, advocating, advancing, strengthening and promoting the game of golf for women.

The Club is commemorating their historical 80th Anniversary milestone with a two-day Diamond & Pearl Jubilee Celebration. The scheduled events will begin with a Diamond & Pearl Jubilee Banquet on Sunday June 4th and conclude with a golf tournament on Monday, June 5th; both events will be held at the Country Club at Woodmore in Mitchellville, MD. Optional event pricing and packages are available.
