33rd Annual Sacramento River City Golf Classic Set to Bring Community, Competition, and Scholarship Support

by AAGD Staff

The Northern California Minority Junior Golf Association is inviting golfers, supporters, and community members to take part in the 33rd Annual Sacramento River City Golf Classic, a long-standing tournament dedicated to youth development, education, and growing access to the game of golf.

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026, and will be held at the Bing Maloney Golf Complex in Sacramento, California. The tournament continues a tradition that blends competitive golf with a meaningful mission—supporting scholarships and expanding opportunities for young players across Northern California.

A Tournament With Purpose

More than just a day on the course, the River City Golf Classic serves as a fundraiser for the Northern California Minority Junior Golf Scholarship Association, a nonprofit founded in 1990. The organization is committed to introducing minority youth to golf at little or no cost while also supporting their academic growth and college aspirations.

Through programs that combine athletic training and educational assistance, the association has helped countless young athletes develop both on and off the course.

Golf, Community, and Competition

Participants can expect a full day centered around camaraderie, friendly competition, and community engagement. The tournament typically brings together golfers of all skill levels, along with sponsors and supporters who share a commitment to youth empowerment.

The event also features opportunities for networking and giving, as proceeds directly support scholarship funds and ongoing youth golf programming.
