There was all-around excitement during the Advocates Pro Tour event that was held at Rogers Park GC, in Tampa, Fla., this past weekend (March 12-13, 2016).
Rogers Park GC is a historic 18-hole golf course in Tampa, Florida. Land for the park was acquired by the City of Tampa in 1947 and was used for picnics and games by black residents during the era of racial segregation in the United States.

Christian Heaven’s birdie on the 35th hole earned him a one shot win over Kevin Hall. Heavens, originally from East St. Louis, was 13 under par for the 36 hole tournament. The win was his second on the Advocates Pro Golf (APGA) Tour. Hall continues to play solid golf, and the golfer was again close to winning his first APGA Tour victory.

The two were paired together for Sunday’s final round (along with Tim O’Neal), and afterwards both mentioned how much fun it was to compete at such a high level. The next APGA Tour event will be May 21-22, 2016 in Atlanta.
