Tiger Woods has confirmed his entry for The 147th Open at Carnoustie, golf’s original Championship. The 147th Open will be played at Carnoustie from 15-22 July 2018.
Woods A Three-Time Champion
Woods successfully conquered the one true test to become Champion Golfer of the Year on three prior occasions, having held and raised up the iconic Claret Jug twice at St. Andrews (2000, 2005) and once at Royal Liverpool (2006). In 2005, the former world number one golfer became only the sixth golfer in the Championship’s history to gain the privilege to complete a wire-to-wire win. It is also widely known that Woods is also a Silver Medal winner when he finished in The Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes in 1996.as the low amateur player during his second appearance
Upon Woods’ arrival at the renowned Angus links Woods he plans to play in The Open for the 20ttime to meet some of the world’s best golfers in the pursuit of the coveted Claret Jug. This will become Woods’ first appearance in the Championship since 2015 at St. Andrews.
