For Carl Matthews, one moment he will never forget was being out on the course with President Bill Clinton at Mid Pacific Country Club, (HI) and offering him playing tips during his visit (1994). It was a memorable day. So, now what’s on Matthews’ bucket list? Take a listen to this interview conducted on June 20, 2019, by Larry Brown to learn more.

The “Renaissance Man,” according to Brown, Carl Matthews is a golf poet who learned the game as a young 12-year-old kid. Wondering down to the local golf course, Matthews started caddying. The challenge of the game appealed to Matthews, he would imitate pro golfers that he saw on TV –while playing with sticks and balls. Coincidentally, Matthews’ nickname before he even started playing golf was “Tee.”

In the candid interview Matthews reveals his passion for the sport, as a student of the game that offers tremendous “networking opportunities that you get in this game are second to none,” he claims.
