The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County, has an opening for a Golf Course Manager at an 18-hole golf course. Under general direction, manages the day-to-day programs and operations of a multifunctional recreational facility (18-hole golf course, driving range, practice area, snack bar, and pro shop). Work at this level typically involves the designing, implementation, and management of a wide variety of recreational, sporting, cultural, and revenue-generating programs geared to the needs of a diverse community. Assignments include full responsibility for the operation of a facility including building maintenance, program administration, budget management, and staff supervision. Job assignments require the regular exercise of independent judgment and performance of duties within very general policy guidelines. Managers at this level are required to develop successful business strategies and methodologies to achieve optimum facility operations. Work assignments include troubleshooting and determine the best solutions to complex operational problems. Perform other related duties as assigned. The hiring range for this position will be $54,066 – midpoint of the advertised salary range and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and education. |
