She took the lead on day one with a remarkable score of 68, followed by a solid performance of 75 on day two. She sealed her victory on the final day with a score of 78, resulting in a total of 221, just one stroke ahead of her closest rival. This rival, Iddy Husseina Madina from Tanzania, put up a tough fight with scores of 73, 74, and 75, totaling 222 gross. Eva Magala secured the third position with scores of 74, 78, and 76, resulting in a total of 228.
Peace’s triumph at the championship is even more significant considering her previous runner-up positions in recent events, including the Uganda Ladies Open Championship 2022 and the UGC Ladies Open held the weekend prior. Although she led the latter event for two days, victory slipped from her grasp on the final day.

Notably, in the Bronze category, Racheal Natukunda, a pioneer student at the AFRIYEA Golf Academy at Toro Club, claimed the top spot for gross scores. Racheal, who only began playing golf in October 2020, has quickly made her mark with several victories. Her triumph in the Uganda Ladies Open Championship serves as a testament to the talent development efforts.
