by AAGD Staff

Charlie Woods is on fire this 2025 season, and his momentum just keeps building. Fresh off another impressive showing in the junior division, Charlie lit up the fairways at the Junior North & South Amateur, held from June 30 to July 2 at the iconic Pinehurst Resort & Country Club. Out of a competitive field of 94 players, he battled his way to a tie for 12th with a total score of 1-over after 54 holes.

He opened with a 2-over 72 on the legendary Pinehurst No. 2, finding four birdies despite six bogeys. Then came Pinehurst No. 8, where he posted an even-par round, brushing off a double bogey on the 10th and adding three birdies to stay in the mix. On the final day, Charlie caught fire on the back nine with five birdies and just one bogey, capping off the round at 1-under.

Adding to the excitement, Tiger Woods was spotted following every step of his son’s journey. A viral video shows the golf legend cheering Charlie on after a key birdie, a heartwarming scene that has fans buzzing—especially as it marks a hopeful sign of Tiger’s recovery following his Achilles injury.

While the Junior North & South Amateur doesn’t affect AJGA rankings, Charlie’s performance at Pinehurst—coming on the heels of his TaylorMade Junior Invitational win—clearly shows he’s a rising force. With Tiger in his corner and confidence building by the round, the younger Woods is crafting a season to remember.
