The TaylorMade Junior Open, one of the premier events on the junior golf calendar, has announced updated dates for its 2026 championship. Originally scheduled earlier in the spring, the tournament will now take place April 18–19, 2026, at The Courses at Watters Creek – Traditions in Plano, Texas. This adjustment provides junior golfers, families, and coaches additional preparation time, while aligning more effectively with other key national and international junior golf events.

The TaylorMade Junior Open, presented by PGA TOUR Superstore, has built a strong reputation as a competitive and rewarding stage for aspiring junior golfers. The event not only attracts talented players from across the United States but also garners attention internationally. Sanctioned and ranked by major junior golf systems including AJGA Performance Based Entry (PBE), Golfweek, Junior Golf Scoreboard, and Global Junior Golf, the championship provides participants the opportunity to gain recognition and valuable ranking points that can shape their competitive futures.

Age division allocations for Optimist International from the 2025 event were announced as follows:

  • Boys 10–11: -4
  • Boys 12–13: -6
  • Boys 14–15: -6
  • Boys 16–18: -3
  • Girls 10–12: -6
  • Girls 13–14: -4
  • Girls 15-18 : -4
