Actor, comedian, producer, and philanthropist Cedric the Entertainer is once again bringing together an impressive lineup of celebrities, athletes, musicians, and community leaders for the 13th Annual Cedric the Entertainer Celebrity Golf Classic, presented by Lexus, on August 2–3, 2026, in Southern California.
The annual charitable event combines golf, entertainment, and philanthropy to raise funds for the Kyles Family Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, and the Rosetta Boyce Kyles Health Pavilion at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. Since its inception, the tournament has become one of the entertainment industry’s premier celebrity golf events, using the popularity of sports and entertainment to create meaningful opportunities for youth and families.
The festivities begin on Sunday, August 2, with a VIP Pairings Party presented by Lexus at Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. in Thousand Oaks, California. The celebration continues on Monday, August 3, with the Celebrity Golf Classic at the prestigious Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, where dozens of well-known personalities will take to the course in support of the event’s charitable mission.
Cedric the Entertainer, whose career spans more than three decades in television, film, and stand-up comedy, has long been recognized for using his platform to give back to communities across the country. Through the annual golf classic, he has created an event that not only showcases celebrity competition but also raises critical funding for organizations dedicated to education, youth development, and healthcare.
The celebrity field is expected to feature an impressive collection of stars from professional sports, music, television, and film. Among those scheduled to participate are Anthony Anderson, Byron Scott, Coach Mike Woodson, Christian Okoye, David Justice, Dennis Haysbert, Debbe Dunning, Derek Fisher, Dondré Whitfield, Flex Alexander, Gary Sheffield, Jeffrey Osborne, Johnny Gill, Kenny Lofton, Marlon Wayans, Matt Barnes, Michael Irby, Ozzie Smith, Roland Martin, Royce Clayton, Smokey Robinson, Stan Verrett, Stephen Bishop, Sugar Ray Leonard, professional golfer Troy Mullins, and many others.
The tournament is presented by Lexus, with platinum sponsorship support from IAG and Buzz Oates. Additional sponsors include AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Lido Advisors, Aloha Freight, Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein Lezcano Bobb & Dang, Westlake Village Inn, Weintraub Family Foundation, Galway Holdings, and Mills Legal, reflecting broad corporate and community support for the event’s charitable goals.
At the center of the tournament’s impact is the Kyles Family Foundation, which focuses on educational empowerment and promoting hygienic health awareness among young people throughout the Los Angeles area. The foundation works alongside community organizations to help youth build confidence, develop healthy habits, and strengthen self-esteem through educational programming and supportive services. Its guiding philosophy—”Building you up. Lifting you up.”—captures its commitment to helping young people realize their full potential.
Proceeds from the tournament also benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, an organization that has served Ventura County youth by providing safe after-school programming, academic support, leadership development, and recreational opportunities. The organization welcomes children ages 6 to 18 regardless of financial circumstances, maintaining affordable annual membership fees while offering scholarships to ensure access for every family.
Another beneficiary of the event is the Rosetta Boyce Kyles Health Pavilion at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Cedric and his sister, Sharita Kyles Wilson, established the initiative in honor of their late mother, Rosetta Boyce Kyles, whose cancer treatment inspired the family to improve access to women’s healthcare services.
In 2015, the Kyles Family Foundation made a lead gift of $25,000 to support the hospital’s Women’s Health Initiative. Since then, the foundation has helped raise more than $500,000 for women’s health programs throughout the Midwest. The Rosetta Boyce Kyles Health Pavilion, unveiled in 2016, continues to provide compassionate care and expanded health resources for women facing serious medical challenges.
Celebrity golf tournaments have become an important fundraising vehicle throughout the golf industry, leveraging the visibility of well-known athletes and entertainers to generate charitable contributions while introducing new audiences to the game. Cedric the Entertainer’s event has earned a reputation as one of the premier celebrity golf outings in the country by blending competitive golf with community service and philanthropy.
As the 13th edition tees off, the tournament once again demonstrates the power of golf to unite leaders from sports, entertainment, and business around causes that create lasting change. Through the continued success of the Celebrity Golf Classic, Cedric the Entertainer and his partners are helping improve educational opportunities, expand youth programs, and support critical healthcare initiatives—proving that the greatest victories often occur far beyond the fairways.
