10th Annual Golf Networking Event Set for January 25, 2027, in Florida

Monday Before The Show (MBTS), an organization dedicated to celebrating the contributions of African American women in golf, will mark its 10th anniversary with a special golf networking event on Monday, January 25, 2027, at The Legacy Club in Longwood, Florida. The gathering will bring together LPGA professionals, golf industry representatives, amateur players and supporters for a day of golf, fellowship and recognition.

This year’s celebration will honor LPGA Professional Gladys Lee, recognizing her contributions to golf instruction, mentorship and expanding opportunities for women and young people in the sport. The event will celebrate her legacy while highlighting the accomplishments of women who have helped shape golf despite longstanding barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

The program begins with registration at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. shotgun start. Participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf, golf cart transportation, range balls, a commemorative swag bag, pre-round snacks, dinner, prizes and a post-round forum and panel discussion featuring golf professionals.

Building a Legacy Through MBTS

Monday Before The Show was founded by LPGA Professionals Ashaunta Epps and Oneda Castillo to create a platform celebrating African American women golf pioneers while connecting professionals, amateurs and emerging players. What began as a gathering of Black golf professionals and enthusiasts has developed into an annual networking and recognition event.

In September 2023, MBTS became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, expanding its mission to include supporting grassroots golf organizations and preserving the history of Black women in golf. Previous celebrations have honored pioneering professionals and community leaders, while bringing together women from across the country to share experiences, build relationships and encourage the next generation.

The 2027 gathering continues that tradition, emphasizing representation, mentorship, community engagement and the importance of keeping the contributions of African American women visible throughout golf.
