Finishing a three under par, Amari Avery was the winner of the girls division at the inaugural Mack Champ Invitational held at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, TX.
The Riverside, Calif., resident, Avery, is a high school junior. She has also announced her plans to play her college golf at the University of Southern California. Avery shot 2-under 70 on Sunday to edge Bailey Davis by a shot. Davis, a member of the class of 2021 from White Plains, MD, who will play her college golf at the University of Tennessee, shot 72-70 for a 2-under-par total.
Avery is also scheduled to play the Augusta National Women’s Open from March 31 to April 3.
