The Arnold Palmer Invitational (API) round three at Bay Hill in Orlando, Fla., got underway today with Keegan Bradley and Tommy Fleetwood playing in the final pairing and locked at -9.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect.  A comfortable 81 degrees, with maybe 5mph winds.  The crowds were massive and the players who had survived the cut included a who’s who, list of some of the world’s finest:  Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson, Zach Johnson, Patrick Reed, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Francesco Molinari, Jimmy Walker, Bryson Dechambeau, Rickie Fowler, and numerous other contenders, such as Henrik Stenson, Graeme McDowell, Hideki Matsuyama– and oh yeh, let’s not forget Arnie’s favorite grandson Sam Saunders.

Sunday’s finale should be a doozy.  Let’s keep our eyes on the leaderboard and enjoy the treat.

URGENT!  Stop the presses, I just checked the update on the leaderboard, and it has defending champ Mcllroy leading at -8, with Matthew Fitzpatrick and Kevin Kisner tied at -7 and about six others holding firm at-6.  Tommy Fleetwood and Keegan Bradley have dropped to -5.  Mcllroy shot a blistering -6, (66) today to advance to the top of the pack.

That certainly gives credence to the adage ” It ain’t over til it’s over”.
