This is the place to be today!  Here at the tournament, spectators will find delicious food, beverages, and amenities. The social networking is awesome and you would not be surprised at the diversity of folks who attend.

Just about everything is provided for. For viewing, spectator bleachers are available for seating on a first-come, first-served basis, located at holes #1, #6, #8, #9, #17, #18 and the driving range. Handicapped/disabled seating are located at holes #1, #8, #17 and #18.

The major sponsor, Mastercard, has its Mastercard Club which is an upgraded venue open to all cardholders. The Club features a fun atmosphere, full bar for purchase, daily player appearance and spectacular views of the driving range, putting green and 9th hole. A great place to escape from the heat or just grab a quick drink before heading back out to the action!

The Arnold Palmer Experience is an all-new interactive exhibit being showcased at the tournament. Here, spectators will find a domed theatre, situated at 360-degrees, where they can enter to view a brief movie that highlights the life of Mr. Palmer.  It’s very interesting, too, because fan can virtually ‘tee-up’ right next to the legend, compare their swings and share the experience across social media. This exhibit is located adjacent to the 10th hole and open to all ticket holders during tournament days (starting on Wednesday at noon).

The Orlando Health Family Care Suite provides families with young children and nursing moms a dedicated space to care for their kids. This air-conditioned venue sits just off the 18th fairway and is stocked with plenty of complementary diapers, a changing table, private nursing area, phone charging station and lots of comfy seating. Open to all ticket holders with little ones from 10am through the end of play each tournament day.

Janice and Welton James of Orlando, Fla.

Taking a little break from the action at Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday were Welton and Janice James.  The couple resides in Oviedo, Fl, where they’ve lived the past 13 years.  They’ve been married for 32 years.  Welton is originally from Beckley, West Virginia.  He says he didn’t start playing golf until he was well into his 60’s.  He is the Catering Manager for QDOBA, a  Mexican Restaurant Chain where he handles the whole Greater Orlando and Tampa area. He works out of the location at the corner of Colonial and McGuire.  Janice plays golf occasionally with her husband when her interest level is up, she says.  Their son graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fl.  He’s currently employed with “Golf Now” in Orlando.
