When Savannah Mitchell embarked on her journey to establish Sunday Morning Coffee Company in 2021, she was well aware of the challenges that awaited her in the male-dominated coffee industry. However, what Mitchell didn’t anticipate was the rapid growth her business would experience, driven by its unique emphasis on the coffee experience and the culture it creates. Breaking new ground as part of the LPGA’s innovative VendorMatch Program, this initiative aims to showcase diverse and locally-owned suppliers at select tournaments and events. In a recent milestone, Sunday Morning Coffee Company, alongside Clearly Branded and Living Juice, had the honor of being selected to participate in the prestigious LPGA Cognizant Founder’s Cup.

Sunday Morning Coffee, primarily an e-commerce enterprise, now boasts an impressive selection of 14 luxurious blends, catering to customers and companies nationwide. Their products can be purchased through their website, as well as prominent retailers such as Amazon, Staples, and Wegmans. The company also offers gift cards, subscriptions, recipes and coffee education.

As the business has flourished, so too have the prospects for expanding its reach. Notably, through the LPGA VendorMatch program, which actively seeks out local and diverse suppliers for tournaments and LPGA headquarters, Sunday Morning Coffee Company was entrusted with supplying coffee for the illustrious 2023 Cognizant Founder’s Cup held in Clifton, New Jersey. While being selected for such an opportunity is an achievement in itself, witnessing everything come together firsthand is an entirely different experience. As a Black- and woman-owned business, Sunday Morning Coffee Company seizes every opportunity to foster brand growth and shatter the glass ceiling.

The collaboration with the LPGA has proven to be a dynamic and transformative experience for Sunday Morning Coffee Company.

Mitchell further emphasizes the significance of the LPGA VendorMatch Program, affirming that it represents a dream come true for small or new businesses. Collaborating with major organizations of such caliber has the potential to alter the trajectory of a company, opening doors to unprecedented growth and success.

Among the three women-owned businesses selected to partake in the LPGA VendorMatch program at the Cognizant Founder’s Cup, Sunday Morning Coffee Company stands as a testament to the shared commitment among these small businesses—to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
