Donnell Davis hits 4th hole-in-one

Donnell Davis had his 4th hole-in-one on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Mallard Head Golf Course, Mooresville, NC. The feat occurred at was hole #12, a 187 Yard par 3. The Concord, NC resident used a 5 Iron with a Pro V1x Titleist ball. Playing partners were Jamel Austin, Anthony Sloan and Gerald Henderson, Sr.

Davis was first introduced to golf at 20-years old by his brother in Pinehurst, NC. Today, at age 67, Davis plays at a 8 handicap and enjoys teeing up a many of the beautiful, public courses in the Charlotte metro area. In fact, he proudly says, “I’ve played over 300 golf courses. Each course has its own unique personality, so it is impossible to name a favorite.” Davis has also previously had 3 other hole-in-ones, so he’s adding another notch to his belt.

When asked where his dream round of golf would be, he says, “Probably Augusta National, like most people who are avid golfers, but Pebble Beach would not be far behind. I would also like to play St. Andrews in Scotland.”
