by AAGD Staff

Gregory Odom Jr., born in Memphis, Tennessee, officially earned his PGA TOUR Americas card on Friday, March 27, 2026, following an outstanding performance at PGA TOUR Americas Q-School held at TPC Houston. A Class of ’24 Bridgestone APGA Collegiate Ranking graduate and 2026 APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program member, Odom delivered a standout week, finishing at 16-under par and placing fifth overall to secure full status for the 2026 season. His performance was highlighted by a remarkable final-round 8-under par, which included a hole-in-one on TPC Houston’s par-3 16th hole. With this top-five finish, Odom now holds full status for all 15 PGA TOUR Americas events in 2026, marking a major milestone in his professional career.

Odom’s journey began in Memphis, where he started playing golf at a young age under the guidance of his father, Greg Odom Sr., and quickly developed into a competitive junior golfer. He played collegiately at the University of Memphis before transferring to Howard University, where he became a standout player. While at Howard, Odom captured the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship, won individual and team accolades in the MEAC, and climbed to the top of the APGA Collegiate Rankings alongside teammate Everett Whiten Jr. These achievements helped him earn a sponsor exemption to make his PGA TOUR debut at the Wells Fargo Championship, becoming the first Howard University golfer to compete at that level.

Before securing his PGA TOUR Americas card, Odom had already achieved success on the APGA Tour, including victories at the 2024 Mastercard APGA Tour Championship and the 2024 APGA Cisco Invitational, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure. At 25 years old, Odom’s combination of collegiate excellence, professional wins, and now full PGA TOUR Americas status positions him as one of the rising talents to watch in professional golf, with a clear path toward future PGA TOUR opportunities.
