Innov Golf Ltd. has developed a revolutionary system to provide golfers with protection against injury or death from lightning strikes while in their golf carts. While playing, golfers are generally exposed to open areas with scattered trees. During thunderstorms, this becomes a particularly dangerous situation, especially with metal clubs and carts nearby. The Innov Golf system, born out of a research project at the University of Manchester, Institute for Science & Technology (UMIST) in the UK, has developed a golf cart for a safer way to play.
