Woods Headlines Field at Genesis Open with Johnson, Thomas & DeChambeau

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 13, 2019) – The PGA TOUR is in Southern California for the Genesis Open, with three of the top-five players in the world (Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau) in the field, along with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. In addition to traditional live tournament coverage Thursday-Sunday, GOLF Channel on Thursday also will air complementary early round PGA TOUR LIVE coverage on NBC Sports Gold, beginning at 10 a.m. ET.

On the LPGA Tour, world No. 1 Ariya Jutanugarn leads the field at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, airing live on GOLF Channel Wednesday-Saturday (overnight). Bernhard Langer headlines the field at the PGA TOUR Champions’ Chubb Classic in Naples. The European Tour this week stages the third edition of the World Super 6 Perth, utilizing an innovative event format consisting of both stroke and match play.

GOLF Channel airing PGA TOUR LIVE Featured Groups coverage on Thursday at 10 a.m. ET: In addition to traditional live tournament coverage Thursday-Sunday, GOLF Channel on Thursday also will air complementary early round PGA TOUR LIVE coverage on NBC Sports Gold, beginning at 10 a.m. ET. The telecast will lead into traditional live tournament coverage at 2 p.m. ET, and offer viewers another opportunity to experience the video subscription platform available for purchase in the United States.

Watson defends: Bubba Watson finished two strokes ahead of Tony Finau and Kevin Na to earn his 10th PGA TOUR victory.

Change of venue: This week marks the 32nd edition of the Chubb Classic, which as been staged in Naples every year since its debut in 1988. It also marks just the second time during that span that it is being contested at the Classics Country Club, and the first since Al Geiberger won it in 1996.

Durant defends: Joe Durant won by four shots to claim his third PGA TOUR Champions title.
