“Establish the Grow The Game Fund to Support Diversity and Inclusion in Golf”

The petition was developed in order to grow the game of Golf. It is acknowledged that Women, People of Color and the Disabled need more access, training, education, and program support to fully participate in the game. However, the financial resources are not readily or easily available. AAGD proposed a fund.

This fund would  be generated by adding a surcharge of 10% to ticket sales at all PGA, PGA TOUR, LPGA, USGA, and Augusta National Tournaments

This resultant million dollar plus fund would allow multiple organizations to access funding to support diversity and inclusion in the game of Golf.

We wanted to give you an update.  As of  Jan 29, 2019, 159committed people have signed the petition. While this is encouraging, this is simply not enough to mandate a change. The petition is now closed. We want to thank those that signed on and gave their support. We had hoped for more.

We would like to receive your ideas of how funds can be raised to support programs that support diversity in Golf.  Please send to AAGD Executive Editor, Jim Beatty at jbeatty138@aol.com.We will review all suggestions and consider presenting other ideas to secure the funding needed by the organizations that are trying to make a difference in the game and industry of Golf.
