Just west of Houston, TX sits the suburban town of Katy Grand, where, next year a new mini-golf course designed by Tiger Woods will open.  The Tiger Woods’ design group (TGR) calls the entertainment facility PopStroke and it will be comprised of two 18-hole courses along with a restaurant and bar, an ice cream parlor, outdoor games and a playground.

Sitting on over 3,000 acres, PopStroke is slated to open in the summer of 2022. Additional family-friendly locations of PopStroke include Port Saint Lucie and Fort Myers, Florida. The company is quickly expanding and recently announced that more locations will be opening in Sarasota, Orlando, Tampa, and Delray Beach, Florida, as well as Glendale and Scottsdale, Arizona.

The concept is a hybrid of bringing together golf with other recreational activities and PopStroke is among an array of other entertainment venues in the Katy area, along with a 19-screen Cinemark theater, and Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, as first reported by Steven Devadanam at CultureMap.

PopStroke’s selection of Katy Grand as its first Texas location is due to an increasing population spike in the area, according to a press release.

“PopStroke is the most innovative family-oriented golf concept in today’s entertainment category. Choosing Katy Grand for its flagship location in Texas is an incredible honor,” said Jeff Hayes, managing partner of NewQuest’s land and tenant advisory services, in a statement.
