It was a sincere symphony of solidarity on Sunday, as fellow golfers donned Tiger Wood‘s signature outfit. Woods, 45, was unable to compete in the WGC-Workday Championship due to the terrible car accident he had last Tuesday.

Pro golfer Tony Finau garnered what seemed like most of the attention by wearing his Nike cap backward. Other players who wore red included Cameron Champ, Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Reed, Jason Day, Sebastian Munoz, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas. In addition, the entire grounds crew wor red to symbolize their support and well-wishes for Woods at the Puerto Rico Championship at Grand Reserve Country Club.

Tiger Woods took to Twitter to thank his fellow golfers for their sympathy and support in wearing their red and black outfits in his honor on Sunday. In his first public comments since his horrifying car crash last week, the great golfer tweeted from his hospital bed, said: ‘It is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the TV and saw all the red shirts.

‘To every golfer and every fan, you are truly helping me get through this tough time.’

The 15-time major champion shattered his leg when he lost control of his car, which rolled several hundred feet in an accident police said he was ‘lucky to survive.’

Fellow golfers wore his signature outfit on Sunday when Woods, 45, could not participate in the WGC-Workday Championship in Bradenton, Florida.

Woods’ mother, Tida, had suggested he wear the outfit when he was younger and he has maintained the image throughout his legendary career.
