With this recent sighting of Tiger Woods at Southern Hills on Sunday, it is fairly evident that the iconic player will make a return at the PGA Championship. The 15-time Major winner was also seen on the course today and may well be in the groupings for this 2nd major tournament of the year that kicks off on May 19.

The PGA Championship brings together some of the world’s most top players, and if Tiger is in the mix, viewing popularity is predicted to soar, as it usually does when he’s competing. Back in April, when the former World Number1 competed at the Masters in Augusta, fans were glued to their television sets and mobile units. The quest broke records for viewership for the tournament’s finale as the most-watched golf telecast on any US network since the 2019 Masters, according to sportspromedia.com. The final round of the 2022 Masters golf tournament saw US commercial network CBS pull in an average 10.173 million viewers, an increase of more than seven percent on last year’s event

At the Masters, 46-year-old Tiger did successfully complete all four rounds, although fans were wondering just how long his left leg would hold up to the strenous play.

From the looks of things on Twitter, the iconic golfer seems to be in terrific shape. He most certainly is keeping a positive mindseton without knowing exactaly how things will turn out. He reportedly played a practie round with Gary Woodland, handling the front nine agressively and strong focus on his shots around the greens. It appeared that Tiger was even walking better and swinging more easily. On the second hole, accordingto Golf Channel reporter, Todd Lewis, Tiger did “”pipe a 358-yard drive on the second hole.”

Wth all this good sightings, it seems that Tiger will indeed tee it up on Thursday. In fact, he is now listed on the interview schedule for Tuesday’s event.
