Club Car and African American Golf Expo Launch Black History Month Contest Honoring Trailblazers in Golf

Augusta, GA – February 1, 2025 – In celebration of Black History Month, Club Car is teaming up with the African American Golf Expo to recognize and honor the African Americans who have shaped the game of golf. From trailblazers like Dr. George Grant, Charlie Sifford, and Renee Powell to today’s rising stars, their impact on the sport is undeniable. Now, we want to hear from YOU!

Throughout February, Club Car invites golf enthusiasts to participate in a special Black History Month Contest, where they can share inspiring stories of African Americans who have influenced golf.

How to Enter:

• Post on Instagram or Facebook highlighting an African American whose contributions to golf have inspired you. This could be a historical figure, a current professional, or a local community leader.

• Explain why their story matters to you.

• Use the hashtag #ClubCarAAGolfExpo and tag @ClubCar in your post.

Prizes:

The top entries will have a chance to win one of two Eastside Golf Gift Cards valued at $150 each.

“This contest is an opportunity for us to not only celebrate Black History Month but also to acknowledge the profound influence African Americans have had in shaping the game of golf,” said a James Beatty, Founder, African American Golf Expo & Forum. “We look forward to seeing the stories and recognizing the individuals who continue to inspire new generations of golfers.”
