MONTGOMERY, AL. – The LEO Foundation is proud to announce the Third Annual Legacy Golf Championship, taking place June 15–17, 2026, in Montgomery, Alabama at Lagoon Park Golf Course. The championship continues its mission of providing elite competitive opportunities for junior and collegiate golfers while showcasing the rich history, culture, and hospitality of the City of Montgomery.
Tournament festivities will begin on Friday, June 12, with a special “Legacy Golf Championship Kickoff Party” at Barristers & Baristas, where sponsors, community partners, and select players participating in the Junior AM event will gather to celebrate the start of championship week.
The Legacy Junior AM Tournament, sponsored by Medical Place, will tee off on Saturday, June 13, with registration beginning at 7:00 a.m., player check-in at 7:30 a.m., and an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The event provides junior and collegiate golfers with a unique opportunity to compete alongside community leaders, supporters, and golf enthusiasts.
The official Legacy Golf Championship will run from June 15 through June 17, featuring three days of championship competition and memorable experiences for players and their families. The championship will conclude with the final round on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, followed by the awards presentation.

- Montgomery Whitewater Experience, providing players and families an opportunity to enjoy one of Montgomery’s premier outdoor attractions while building friendships and camaraderie beyond the golf course.

In addition to championship play, participants will take part in Performance Day activities designed to help junior golfers learn about physical preparation, athletic development, mental performance, and overall wellness.
“The Legacy Golf Championship is more than a tournament—it’s an experience,” said Quincy Leonard, Founder and Executive Director of the LEO Foundation. “Our goal is to create opportunities for young golfers to compete at a high level while exposing them to educational, cultural, and personal development experiences that will impact them long after the final putt is made.”

Special Guest Speaker: Christian Heavens
The Legacy Golf Championship is honored to welcome Christian Heavens as the featured guest speaker for the Players and Parents Welcome Dinner on Monday, June 15, at the ASU Acadome.
Christian Heavens is a professional golfer, author, speaker, and entrepreneur whose mission is to inspire the next generation through the game of golf. Raised in the St. Louis metropolitan area, Christian’s journey into golf was anything but traditional. Through adversity, financial obstacles, and an unwavering belief in his potential, he forged his own path in the sport while developing a powerful message centered on resilience, discipline, faith, and perseverance.
A former collegiate golfer and professional competitor, Christian has worked throughout nearly every level of the golf industry—from coaching and instruction to professional competition and mentoring young athletes. His unique story and personality have earned him appearances on Golf Channel’s Big Break and ABC’s Holey Moley, along with features across numerous golf media platforms.
Christian is also the author of Tour Line, a groundbreaking novel that blends golf, pressure, culture, and personal growth. The book has resonated with golfers and non-golfers alike, establishing him as a fresh and authentic voice helping bring new energy and perspective to the game.
As a speaker, Christian is known for delivering honest, high-energy, and relatable messages that connect deeply with junior golfers and parents. He speaks on topics including confidence, mental toughness, handling pressure, overcoming setbacks, personal accountability, and the reality that success in golf often mirrors success in life.
