The Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) Tour will launch the sixth year of the APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series with the inaugural APGA at Mission Hills, September 14-16 at Mission Hills Country Club’s Pete Dye Challenge Course in Rancho Mirage, California.
The 36-hole professional tournament will mark the 11th event on the 2026 APGA Tour schedule and will feature a $33,000 purse, with the tournament champion receiving $10,000. Practice rounds are scheduled for Monday, September 14, followed by the first round on Tuesday, September 15 and the final round on Wednesday, September 16. Play is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. PT each day.
The tournament brings together an accomplished field featuring APGA Tour veterans, rising professionals and golfers with experience competing at higher levels of professional golf.
Among the players entered is Jonathan Yoshihiro, a Yorba Linda, California native and Cal State Fullerton product who won the 2025 and 2026 APGA Mastercard Tour Championship in his first two seasons on the APGA Tour. His early success has established him as one of the tour’s emerging players to watch.
Ryan Ellerbrock, a San Diego resident and Chula Vista native, also brings considerable professional experience to the field. A two-time APGA Tour champion, Ellerbrock has competed on PGA TOUR Americas and PGA TOUR Canada and previously served as a caddie for PGA TOUR player Martin Trainer.
Several Southern California-based APGA Tour members will also compete, including Ivan Barahona of Van Nuys, Jonathan Kang of Santa Clarita, Troy Kuramarohit of Canoga Park, Jacob Uyesato of Corona and Rovonta Young of Rancho Cucamonga.
The field also includes two of the APGA Tour’s most accomplished competitors, Kevin Hall and Wyatt Worthington II.
Hall, an eight-time APGA Tour champion from Cincinnati, has been part of the APGA since its establishment in 2010. The only deaf golfer currently competing on the APGA Tour, Hall was also the first African American to play golf for Ohio State University, where he competed from 2000-2004. In 2025, he captured the silver medal at the 25th Deaflympics in Tokyo and received the APGA’s Adrian Stills Award presented by Cisco.
Worthington, a Reynoldsburg, Ohio native and three-time APGA Tour winner, has been a tour member since 2021. He has made five PGA TOUR starts, including four appearances in the PGA Championship in 2016 and from 2022-2024. His 2016 PGA Championship appearance made him the second African American PGA of America Golf Professional to compete in the prestigious major championship.
Founded in 2010, the APGA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring an inclusive future through the game of golf. Through professional competition and developmental opportunities, the organization continues to expand pathways for golfers from diverse backgrounds to pursue careers in the sport.
The 2026 APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series represents another step in that mission. All three tournaments on this year’s series are being held at venues new to the APGA Tour, providing players with fresh competitive challenges while expanding the tour’s reach.
Following the APGA at Mission Hills, the Fall Series will continue with the APGA at El Dorado, September 28-30 at El Dorado Park Golf Course in Long Beach, California. The series will conclude with the APGA at Cedar Crest, October 25-27 at Cedar Crest Golf Course in Dallas, Texas.
For the first time, each full-field tournament in the APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series will be open to any professional male golfer, regardless of APGA Tour membership. The expanded eligibility gives additional professionals an opportunity to compete alongside established APGA players while experiencing the organization’s professional tournament environment.
The APGA at Mission Hills will be contested at Mission Hills Country Club, Pete Dye Challenge Course, located at 34600 Mission Hills Drive in Rancho Mirage.
