Volunteer Opportunity Opens for 2027 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship

by AAGD Staff

Golf enthusiasts will have an opportunity to experience one of professional women’s golf’s premier events from behind the scenes when the 2027 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship comes to Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, June 24–27, 2027. The championship is one of the five major championships on the LPGA Tour.

The 2027 championship volunteer program is now accepting registrations through its official online volunteer portal. Volunteers will serve as PGA Ambassadors, assisting spectators and guests while gaining an inside look at the operation of a major professional golf championship. Adult volunteers, ages 22 and older, are required to work three to four shifts, totaling approximately 16–20 hours during the championship. Volunteers are also expected to assist guests during their unscheduled time while on the grounds.

The adult volunteer package costs $160, plus applicable taxes and fees. The package includes a Nike golf shirt, pullover and headwear item, meal vouchers, an official PGA volunteer drawstring bag and complimentary parking. Volunteers who complete all of their scheduled shifts will also receive the first opportunity to register for the 2030 PGA Championship at Congressional Country Club.

Student Volunteer Opportunity

The program also provides an opportunity for younger golf enthusiasts. Students ages 14–21 are required to work at least three shifts, totaling approximately 12–16 hours. Unlike the adult program, there is no fee for student volunteers. Student volunteers receive a Nike golf shirt and baseball cap, meal vouchers, an official PGA volunteer drawstring bag and complimentary parking.

A Behind-the-Scenes Golf Experience

Volunteering at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship offers more than an opportunity to watch elite golfers compete. Volunteers receive credentials providing access to the championship grounds throughout the four-day event while performing their assigned responsibilities. The credential must remain visible, and volunteers are required to wear their official volunteer baseball cap while on the premises.

The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship has become an important fixture on the professional women’s golf calendar. The championship dates to 1955 and is one of the LPGA Tour’s five majors, bringing together many of the world’s top female golfers.

For golf fans, students, aspiring golf-industry professionals and individuals interested in volunteering at major sporting events, the 2027 program provides a chance to participate directly in championship operations while enjoying access to world-class golf.
