by AAGD Staff

Four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Stephen Curry and his UNDERRATED Golf European Tour, in partnership with United Airlines, officially launched Season 3 this week at The Belfry in England, marking another significant step in the growth of the global junior golf initiative. The event brought together top junior golfers from across Europe for a week centered on competition, mentorship, and expanded opportunity within the game.

Building on the momentum of its first two seasons, the UNDERRATED Golf European Tour continues its mission to elevate emerging junior golfers while broadening access to elite-level competition. Season 3 reflects Curry’s long-term vision of creating a global platform that increases visibility for young talent who are often overlooked within traditional golf pathways.

Girls Champion, Isabella Fernandez

The opening stop was staged at The Belfry, one of the most iconic venues in European golf. A four-time host of the Ryder Cup and home to the British Masters, the historic Brabazon Course is known for producing pressure-filled moments and elite-level performances. Its championship pedigree and demanding layout made it an ideal setting for the launch of the new season, drawing comparisons to Bethpage Black, which will host the Curry Cup Championship from September 15–17.

Boys Champion, Andrew Rodriguez

On the competition side, American golfer Andrew Rodriguez from Whittier, California, posted a two-under-par performance to secure the boys’ title, while Isabella Fernandez from Irvine, California, finished at one-under-par to claim the girls’ championship. Both were crowned Season 3 winners of the UNDERRATED Golf European Tour.

Among the European competitors, Jenson Ringer from Chatham, United Kingdom, Mo Craig from England, Shania Breinhoelder from Prague, Czechia, and Sommer Chan from Woburn, United Kingdom, earned top honors in their respective categories. Their performances secured them qualification opportunities for the upcoming Curry Cup Championship later in the summer.

The week-long event featured a 36-hole, two-day tournament that gave junior golfers the chance to compete for coveted spots in the 2026 Curry Cup at Bethpage Black Golf Course in Farmingdale, New York. Participants also experienced one of Europe’s most storied venues, gaining exposure to a course that has hosted Ryder Cups and some of the sport’s most memorable moments.

Beyond competition, the program emphasized mentorship and career development within the golf industry. Players engaged with ambassadors and industry leaders, learning about pathways that extend beyond playing professionally.

Ladies European Tour professional Henni Zuel, a broadcaster and The R&A ambassador, attended as an UNDERRATED Golf European ambassador, offering guidance and support throughout the week. Gareth Bale, a five-time UEFA Champions League winner and longtime golf enthusiast, also returned as an ambassador for Season 3, continuing his involvement in expanding the tour’s reach and influence across Europe.

Ryder Cup player Tommy Fleetwood, one of England’s most accomplished golfers with success on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, was also present at The Belfry, supporting the initiative and engaging with the next generation of players.
