by AAGD Staff

The National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals (NCBMP), established in 1983, is celebrating 40 years of advocating for equity and inclusion in tourism globally. Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, the non-profit organization focuses on training African American meeting planners, representing the $109 billion black travel sector. This year’s annual conference features a golf tournament on December 6, 2023, at Stone Mountain Golf Club in Stone Mountain, GA, providing members with an opportunity for outdoor activity and quality networking.

The NCBMP golf tournament is an opportunity for members to get outdoors and be active. More importantly, it’s an opportunity for members to engage in quality time with one another while having competitive fun. The NCBMP’s last tournament was in 2009 in Daytona Beach, FL, and attendees had a great time. More great fun and networking is expected at this year’s outing. Registration for the 2023 tournament is available online at the NCBMP website.

President Dzidra Junior, a seven-year board member and president, has led the organization in this role since January 2023 and, will participate in a foursome at the tournament. “Achievements on the golf course are not what matters, decency and honesty are what matter,” says Dzidra. “With that being said come join us on the greens to do some business with your NCBMP family.” For additional details, visit https://ncbmp.com/.
