The new simulator offers a high-tech practice space for the VSU community while introducing students to the growing golf industry.
Virginia State University is proud to announce the addition of a new golf simulator donated by the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA). A second simulator was awarded through the University’s participation in the White House HBCU Golf Consortium, a national initiative to increase diversity in the golf industry and expose students to unique professional opportunities.
The facility, located in the VSU Fitness/Wellness Center inside Daniel Gymnasium, features two state-of-the-art simulator bays and a putting green.
“We are very excited about this new golf simulator and how it will benefit not only our student-athletes but the broader Virginia State University community,” said Rodney Hall, Deputy Chief of Staff and a leader of the initiative. “It will allow us to introduce more students to the game of golf and spark interest in a global industry.”
The University held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, May 2, to unveil the new Golf Simulator Facility. It is open to all students, faculty, and staff.
