Award-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. shares insights with AAGD Correspondent Marcus Mulenga on his leading role in the recently released musical, “The Cuban”.
The new musical story THE CUBAN is a visual treat filled with Afro-Cuban and Salsa music and delicious Cuban and Afghani food. When a pre-med student gets her first job in a nursing home, an unexpected friendship with Luis (Louis Gossett Jr.), an elderly Cuban musician, reignites her love of music and changes her life forever.
THE CUBAN opened in Los Angeles, New York and select cities on July 31st. THE CUBAN stars Oscar and Emmy-winner Louis Gossett Jr. (AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN, “Roots”, “Watchmen”), Ana Golja (“Degrassi: Next Class”, FULL OUT), Oscar-nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo (HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG, STAR TREK BEYOND), Lauren Holly (DUMB AND DUMBER, “NCIS”) and Giacomo Gianniotti (“Grey’s Anatomy”, “Station 19”). The film was directed by award-winning director, Sergio Nava.
